저희는 사물의 외형을 바꿈으로써 그 사물의 더 나은 가치와 의미를 찾고 있습니다. 저희는 오래되고 버려진 재료를 하나의 캔버스로 보고 거기에 예술적인 가치와 의미를 부여하고 있습니다. 저희는 Untitled Nine을 패션브랜드로 바라보지 않고 패션과 예술 사이에서, 전통과 현대사이에서, 다양한 예술분야를 포함하는 브랜드로 만드려고 하고 있습니다. 저희는 “예술은 생산될 수 없다”라고 생각합니다. 저희는 현대의 대량생산이 만들어내는 클론에 회의감을 느껴 이를 해결하기 위해 일반적인 공장에서 대량생산될 수 없는 작품들을 만드는데 몰두하고 있습니다. 그 작품들은 이미 쓰였거나 버려진 것들이 재료로 사용되어 만들어졌으며, 그 재료들은 그것들이 지나온 시간만큼의 고유함을 갖고 있기에 특별합니다. Untitled Nine은 일반적인 예술창작의 방법에서 더 나아가 예술과 관계없는 다른 분야에서 쓰이는 도구 혹은 방식을 사용하여 새로운 작품을 만들고 있습니다. 저희는 새로운 생각과 그 생각이 표현되는 방식을 받아들이며 다양한 작품들을 만들고 있습니다.

We try to find a better meaning for objects by changing their appearance. Using vintage material as a canvas, we give unique artistic value to things that would otherwise be lost to neglect. Untitled Nine is not a fashion brand– driven by efforts in multiple artistic fields, both traditional and modern, they work in the middle point between fashion and art. Simultaneously frustrated by the current state of mass production within the industry, Untitled Nine is devoted to crafting pieces that a conventional factory is unable to produce. The foundation of their pieces are built on vintage material, rich in character, pre-lined with features from its previous life, treating the material as a perfect canvas for their unique manipulation processes. Working with the inconvenient and the unconventional, the brand implements the use of paints, coatings, washes, waxes, and power tools normally utilized by different fields of construction and repair work, they stray far from common art-making methods. Untitled Nine has thus far created a range of pieces and a world of video and photographic campaigns that contain them, however, they embrace experimentation and unorthodox ideas with every new presentation. Untitled Nine’s core ideal is that art cannot be solely “manufactured”.
